Operational diagnostics
We map your cost structure and find the three or four places where money leaks. Typical engagement length: four weeks. Clients usually recover the fee within six months from identified savings alone.
We work with mid-market companies across England that have outgrown their original operating model. Most arrive with a specific pain: margins shrinking, a pricing structure nobody can explain, or a growth plan that lives in a spreadsheet and nowhere else. We fix those things.
Book a diagnostic callEvery engagement begins the same way. We spend the first week inside your business, not in a meeting room with a slide deck. Here is what that looks like:
We sit with your team for five days. Finance, operations, sales, whoever touches revenue. We read the reports nobody reads and ask the questions nobody asks.
Week two produces a written diagnostic: what is costing you money, where the bottleneck actually sits, and which assumptions are wrong. No jargon, no 80-page decks.
We build the fix. That might be a new pricing architecture, a restructured supply chain, or a hiring sequence for the next twelve months. It depends entirely on what the diagnosis found.
You get a plan your own team can execute. We stay available for 90 days of follow-up calls, but the goal is always to leave you self-sufficient.
We focus on five areas. If your problem sits outside these, we will tell you on the first call and point you somewhere better.

Most mid-market firms price by instinct or by copying a competitor from 2017. We rebuild pricing from margin data, willingness-to-pay research, and channel economics. The average margin lift across our last twelve pricing projects was 9.3 percentage points.
Where should you expand, and in what order? We build 18-month growth roadmaps that account for cash flow constraints, hiring timelines, and market entry risk. Not aspirational targets on a whiteboard.
When a senior team disagrees about direction, everything downstream slows. We facilitate structured decision sprints that produce a single, documented strategy within ten working days.
Bought a company and now wondering how to merge the two? We handle the operational integration plan: systems, teams, reporting lines, and culture mapping. Typical timeline is eight to twelve weeks.
We cannot name clients publicly without their permission, so here are anonymised results from the past two years.
A 45-person food manufacturing firm in the Midlands. Their pricing had not been reviewed in four years. We restructured their product tiers and renegotiated two supplier contracts. The margin shift showed up within one quarter.
A logistics company running 80 vehicles. We found duplicate software licences, an unused warehouse lease, and a maintenance schedule based on manufacturer defaults rather than actual wear data. Total savings identified in three weeks.
A SaaS firm wanted to enter the German market but had been planning for over a year. We compressed the decision framework, hired a local lead, and launched a pilot. Revenue appeared in month four.
Revenue between £3m and £80m, usually. Below that threshold the fee rarely makes sense. Above it, the big four firms tend to be a better fit because they have the bench depth for very large integrations.
A four-week diagnostic starts at £18,000. Pricing and growth projects run between £25,000 and £55,000 depending on scope. We quote a fixed fee after the initial call so there are no surprises.
The immersion week is always on-site. After that, most of the analysis happens at our end. We come back for key workshops and the final handover. Clients outside England can arrange a hybrid schedule.
Good. Disagreement usually means we have found something uncomfortable. We present the evidence, walk through the methodology, and let you challenge every assumption. If, after that, you still think we are wrong, we will adjust the scope or end the engagement early with a partial refund.
Manufacturing, logistics, professional services, SaaS, and wholesale distribution make up about 85% of our project history. We have also done one-off work in hospitality and healthcare, though those are not our core strength.
Sometimes. If the implementation requires interim management or specialist hires, we can embed a consultant for up to six months. That is priced separately and depends on availability. We will always be honest about whether you need us for that phase or not.
Tell us what is going on. We will reply within one working day and, if it sounds like a fit, schedule a 30-minute diagnostic call at no cost.
